Highland Good Food Conference - Session 5

This conference, held online over five Monday afternoons in January and February, will bring people together to reimagine the Highland food system and develop an action plan that will take us towards a food system that is better for the planet, better for people and better for producers.

Each day there will be two facilitated group discussion sessions, five 5-minute provocations followed by a Q&A session and a closing feedback and plenary session.

Inner Moray Firth Local Development Plan presentation and discussion

The Residents Association of North Kessock (RANK) is pleased to invite you to an event aimed at shaping the future of your local neighbourhood. The Inner Moray Firth Local Development Plan (IMFLDP) engagement and discussion event will be held on Monday 8th February at 7pm by Zoom. 

The evening will feature a presentation and discussion on the Main Issues Report which is the first major step in preparing the local development plan. The Report includes 9 main issues: Addressing the Climate and Ecological Emergency; Supporting a strong, diverse and sustainable economy; Growing the most sustainable places; Delivering affordable housing; Matching development with infrastructure capacity; Creating a more healthy sustainable transport network; Identifying and safeguarding valued local green space; Placemaking; and Meeting the needs of an ageing population. It is published for consultation at www.highland.gov.uk/imf.

We are delighted to welcome our speakers:

  • Councillor Gordon Adam, Chair of Black Isle, Dingwall and Seaforth Committee who will set the scene with the Council’s overarching strategy and vision for our area
  • Tim Stott, Principal Planner at the Highland Council who will deliver a presentation on the main issues facing our area, the settlement priorities and site preferences identified for development in North Kessock, Munlochy and Tore

Gordon and Tim have kindly made their time available to hear your comments and will explain how important it is for your voice to be heard in the preparation of the Plan which will help shape how our community changes over the next 10 to 20 years.
